Testing from the right device, using Ethernet, checking link speeds, bypassing the router when appropriate, and confirming the ONT or gateway status can quickly show whether the problem is inside your home network or on the provider's side. A 1 Gbps fiber plan should not consistently deliver results under 200 Mbps under normal wired testing conditions. When issues like signal loss, slow speeds, or intermittent connectivity arise, systematic troubleshooting is key. They WERE reading between 5-30mbps but I uninstalled and reinstalled my network driver and while that was still an improvement it's nowhere near what it should be. My ISP is pretty dumbfounded and can't figure out. TP-Link router speed isn't one single number.
